M.I.A

As some of you know, last week I broke my elbow and had to have surgery on it. This came 8 days after I was taken to the hospital via ambulance from stomach pains - turned out to be kidney stones. As we left the hospital, we got in an accident.......I know, what the f**K? Go ahead, say it, I did. A LOT!

Anyway, with my elbow, the injury is not common at all. Less than 1% actually. Leave it to me. I have to keep it immobilized for 3 weeks. So that means I will be an MIA Blogger. I will check in when I can.

Typing with one hand - FRUSTRATING AS HELL!

Hope you are all well. I miss you all.

Premios Dardo Award

“Premios Dardo” means roughly “Top Dart.”
This award acknowledges the values that every blogger shows in his or her effort to transmit cultural, ethical, literary, and personal values every day.
This award was bestowed to me by my wonderful friend Lee. If you haven't checked out her blog, please do at Lemons2Lemonade. You will be inspired and informed. You will laugh and chuckle. Overall, you will leave Lee's blog feeling warm and fuzzy. I encourage you all to visit Lee.

The rules of the award to follow are:

1) Accept the award, post it on your blog together with the name of the person who has granted the award and his or her blog link.
2) Pass the award to 15 other blogs that are worthy of this acknowledgment. Remember to contact the bloggers to let them know they have been chosen for this award.

I would love to award everyone, but the rule is 15. Without further adieu, I award Premios Dardo to:

It is a rainy, dreary day in Ajax Ontario today

And...here we go! My answers in bold.

1. Angel or not, I will be guided in life.

2. You can't have me any way you want me. You take me as I am or kick rocks!

3. As my mother used to say, you're full of Malarky - wtf is malarky anyway??

4. I want to eat after I'm done working out or doing something strenuous. Kinda defeats the purpose!

5. Even in the most crowded of rooms I can sense and spot a spider.

6. Last friday was a day fraught with peril. At least it felt that way!

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to relaxing and maybe scrapbooking, tomorrow my plans include a bridal shower and 2 birthdays! and Sunday, I want to go to church and enjoy family time!

If you are interested in participating - go here!
Leave me a comment so I can check out your answers!

More Sketchapalooza Layouts

Here are 2 more layouts I did while in the Sketchapalooza Class. Jayne has just announced her new speing classes - including a Sketchapalooza 4!! Go check it out! www.feelingscrappyclasses.blogspot.com

I really like how this layout turned out. I don't usually use small pictures so it was fun!

The journaling says: When you were little you could not say Auntie Dawn. Instead you said Tee Tee. This nickname continues to this day and I truly believe it will break my heart when you decide to call my sister, Auntie Dawn. I hope she stays as Tee Tee for a very long time. You cherish your Tee Tee very much and know her favourite colour is purple. Anytime you have a present for her, she can always count on it being purple. Just like the flowers you picked out for her 38th birthday. Your Tee Tee will always have a special place in your heart.

I love this photo of Jonah and thought it was perfect to commemorate his 6th birthday!

Let me know what you think! I love feedback - suggestions for improvement, etc. It's all about learning, right?

Great minds?

When Sean was growing up, he never had any of the "fun" cereals. He grew up with plain puffs and cornflakes. I, on the other hand, enjoyed breakfast much more than Sean did growing up. As parents we want Jonah to have a balanced breakfast, but also have the occasional "fun" cereal. You know, the kind that is just full of sugar? Doesn't hurt once in a while, right? In all honesty, Sean enjoys the "fun" cereals a lot more than Jonah does!

These days the price of cereal has gotten R.I.D.I.C.U.L.O.U.S! So when there is a sale, we will splurge on the treat cereals. Last week, our local Sobey's had a sale on Nestle Cereals. I mean, it was a really good price! So I grabbed 2 boxes of cereal - Nesquik and Lucky Charms.

Guess what Sean did?

Yup, the exact same cereals!

Great minds?

Blogger Issues

Sorry for not being around! Did you miss me? LOL

Blogger was giving me such issues. Apparently my posts are being posted now so they will be sporadic. The Blogger team is working on it so hopefully I will be caught up soon!

Bear with me!
