Jonah loves to participate in any kind of event that will help other people. He is such a giver, that boy. A trait I hope he never loses.
Every March, our church puts on a "March of Plenty" food drive to help our local food banks. We each took home a Home Depot bucket to fill with the essentials - baby formula, peanut butter, canned goods, toiletries and a money envelope for donations. Every week when we went shopping for groceries, Jonah picked out a few extra items to put in the bucket. We filled 3 large buckets to contribute. Jonah was so proud.
This past Sunday was the launch of this years food drive. Jonah said he wants to double the buckets this year! So we grabbed more buckets to bring home and our goal is to have them filled by the end of the month. We are also reaching out to our friends, family and neighbours to help us reach our goal. If you would like to drop off some food items or make a contribution, we welcome it and appreciate it!
This is a layout I did of last years March of Plenty. I completed it for the Sketchapalooza 3 class I am taking over at Feeling Scrappy. Check out their website here!
